Seeking Board Members
The Upper Clutha A & P Society is calling for community-minded locals with a passion for agriculture and the Wanaka A & P Show to join its board.
Here's your chance to contribute to one of the Upper Clutha’s longest serving and most important non-profit organisations, as well as the region’s most anticipated annual event, the Wanaka A & P Show.

Position vacant by rotation These are volunteer positions to serve an office term of up to three years.

The Upper Clutha A & P Society holds approximately 11 board meetings per year (the first Monday of each month). Members are expected to attend meetings and be active in their contribution to the Society portfolios, working alongside the Wanaka A & P Show Event Management Team.

Notice of AGM
The 2023 AGM is being held on Wednesday 7 September at 7.30pm in the Rugby Club Rooms.

If you are unable to attend and would like to record an apology, please let us know by return email. Refreshments provided at conclusion. 

All interested parties are welcome to attend.

Vote for us for New Zealand's Favourite Event!
We are pleased to announce that we are up for New Zealand's Favourite Event presented by NZ Events Association.

The winner will be decided by public pole so please vote for us here.

The Wanaka A & P Show also submitted applications to the prestigious New Zealand

Eventing Awards and we are thrilled to be named finalist in three categories:
  • Best Community or Not-for-profit Event 
  • Best Lifestyle Event
  • Best Event Marketing

The NZEA NZ Events Award Gala is being held Tuesday 26 July in Napier and we can't wait to see how the Wanaka A & P Show does!

2023 Wearable Arts Show
  • Open entries - Design an art form with no boundaries where your only limit is your imagination!
  • Agriculture - Create something that reflects all that is A & P show. 
  • Central Otago - Be inspired by all that is Central Otago with it’s own unique nature, wines and fruit.
  • Bizarre Brassieres - Create a fun piece that is kooky, unconventional, colorful and zany embracing being a woman in today’s world.

Essential Nutrition-Olsson NZ Fine Wool Supreme Fleece Competition
We are very excited to announce that the Upper Clutha A & P Society (Wanaka A &P Show) are to convene the New Zealand Fine Wool Supreme Fleece Competition annually starting in 2023!
The Competition is exclusive to Merino, Corriedale, Halfbred, Polwarth and Quarterbred fleeces. This is the first National Competition to have separate classes for both Stud and Flock.

The Competition includes a $150 cash prize to a registered Wool-classer for the selecting the highest scoring Flock fleece entered by an exhibitor. There is also a prize for the most deserving Flock fleece exhibited grown in a difficult environment.

We are really looking forward to holding this fantastic competition at the Show next year!
