One of the most picturesque A & P Shows in the South Island
The Upper Clutha A & P show was first held in Cromwell in 1895. Now set on the beautiful shores of Lake Wanaka, it is arguably one of the most stunning settings in the country for an A & P Show. The Upper Clutha A & P Show is a unique agricultural and pastoral event with spectacular Southern Alps in the background.
It is traditionally held around the second weekend in March and is one of the last shows of the year. It's a major annual event on the Wanaka calendar and is supported by the whole community and indeed enjoyed by all competitors, spectators and trade exhibitors.
Fun for all the Family
Gate entrants have been increasing each year with last year's numbers around the 19,000 over the two days. The show supported over 430 trade exhibitors with a wide and varied range of commodities, this number is continuing to increase annually. The Upper Clutha A & P Show is a great fun day for all the family; from show jumping to the Jack Russel Race; Trade Exhibits and the Ferris Wheel, there is something for everyone.
