The Wānaka A&P Show is full of things to see, do, and discover — and that’s all part of the experience. From competitions and animals to local food, shopping, and live demos, there’s something for everyone at the Show. All your show favourites are back

From livestock and home industry competitions to rural demonstrations, carnival rides, and food trucks, there’s plenty to get stuck into. The crowd-favourite Petfirst Veterinary Jack Russell Race always draws a cheer, while the Mighty Mix Dog Trials and Farmlands Farmyard keep the energy high. It’s a full two days of activity, with something happening in every corner of the grounds.

Easy shopping and family friendly areas

In 2025, we welcomed over 550 trade exhibitors offering everything from machinery to homewares, outdoor gear, clothing, and locally made goods. Spread across the Showgrounds and Pembroke Park, the trade section offers plenty to explore. With upgraded picnic zones throughout the grounds, it’s easy to grab something to eat, find a shady spot, and take in the atmosphere between stops.
