NRM and McMillan Equine Feeds are excited to be bringing their specialty equine weigh scales to this year’s Wānaka A&P Show.
They will be running several sessions over the Show where competitors will have the opportunity to have their horse or pony weighed and assessed by experts on site.
Experienced Nutrition Specialist Fiona Gillies will be part of the team at the Show and encourages all equestrian competitors to have their equine athlete weighed and assessed, noting that “knowing the weight of your horse or pony is a key management tool, not only for correct feeding but also for worming management and travel. We also offer guidance on feeding horses with tricky conditions such as Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS) and Cushing’s.”
The equine scales, located near Gate 4 close to the horse truck parking area, will operate on Thursday evening 5pm–6.30pm, Friday 9.30am–11am and 2pm–3.30pm, and Saturday morning 9.30am–11am.
As well as the equine scales, the team will be on site at the northern end of the oval at site G9 with a range of equine and lifestyle animal feeds, complimentary samples available, expert advice, competitions and more.
NRM and McMillan Equine Feeds are also pleased to be sponsoring the Hack Hunter Championship class and look forward to seeing who will take out this prestigious class in 2026.
